Chicago Craft Beer Week: Food & Beer Events


As many of the beer lovers already know, American Craft Beer Week has already begun. For Chicagoans, this means the Chicago Craft Beer Week is here to celebrate the wonderful world of craft beer. The only thing better than enjoying craft beer to celebrate is enjoying it with food. So, here’s a list of some of the food festivities:

Pancetta Regional Kitchen & Bar at Renaissance North Shore Hotel will have food specials with items made with craft beer (along with $5 IPAs)

Marion Street Cheese Market is pairing their extensive and delicious artisan cheese selection with craft beer throughout the week. Great cheese will go perfect with the $4 drafts they’re offering all week, too.

Fishman Liquors & Taverns isn’t just featuring 16 local breweries and live music to celebrate CCBW, they’re also bringing in an awesome food truck lineup including Wagyu Wagon, Toasty Cheese, Glutton Force Five, Chi Town Tamale, and Cupcake Gangster. (This event is Friday, May 17th at 6 p.m.)

Whole Foods Market Lincoln Park is having a Speakeasy Cali takeover and appropriately pairing these beers with California cheeses. (This event is Friday, May 17th from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.)

Paddy Long’s chef is infusing smoked pork butt sandwiches with Oskar Blues Old Chub that is going to pair perfect with their limited smoked IPA, Oskar the G’rauch. (This event is Friday, May 17th at 8 p.m.)

Owen & Engine is pairing five local beers with a special dish such as Begyle Oh Hey! Porter with Clams Casino and more.

Brownstone Tavern & Grill’s Chef Chris Foley will pair three small dishes with a flight of three New Belgium craft beers. (This is Saturday, May 18.)

Farmhouse Tavern is offering a brunch with three courses pairing beers from Tyranena Brewery. (This is Saturday, May 18th at 11 a.m.)

Whole Food Lincoln Park is having a collaboration beer dinner with Solemn Oath and Revolution. (This event is Monday, May 20th at 7p.m.)
